Just released the new Twitter plugin for OutRighteous Site Manager (tutorial coming soon!). You can now mark pages to automatically tweet when their children are created or updated. Right now it simply tweets the page title and a link to it but we're considering enabling you to enter a custom message.
Here's how you set it up:
- Go to the 'Configuration' section
- Enter your Twitter account username and password (the account you use for your church) and save the settings
- Go to the 'Pages' section
- Click to edit a page where you want automatic tweets to be sent when any of it's children are created or updated
- Click the 'more' link right below the title
- Check one or both of the 'Twitter' checkboxes and save the page
The next time you save or edit one of it's children (depending on which checkboxes you selected) a tweet will automatically be sent out. It's that easy!
